Never in a million years would I even dream, that I would be given the opportunity to be apart of a program/organization so wonderful.  I would always dream about traveling to different countries and now that I am actually doing that it is a dream come true. The many things that I have learned not only about public history and nautical science but about myself has been more than I could have anticipated before I flew to England from New York two months ago.  Traveling with the other students and crew aboard the Amistad has made me realize that nobody can ruin your experience but you. It is that thought that has kept me going as I encountered new people, new food, and new sights. Like everyone aboard the ship, I miss my family and friends sometimes and I hate being seasick. Still, in the end I am determined not to let anything ruin my experience not even being seasickness, not homesickness because on my good days, I am like a sponge soaking up as much knowledge as I can.  In then end I am the flower beginning to blossom and by December 11, 2007, I will be fully bloomed.
