We are underway once again…and it looks like I will be remain with the boat until Portugal…we hired another cook but this job isn’t for everyone and wish Chris the best in all that he does…well   after a wonderful time in Liverpool…We had the honor of meeting gracious, interesting, very helpful residents of Liverpool…Donna, Traci, Joy, Eve, Halsey and myself took the “Beatles tour…now that was a blast…I have pictures of doors and houses that I am trying to remember which Beatle  they belonged to…there are some amazing and beautiful old buildings, and I mean old…so much history…

Just being at the Albert Dock stirred up thoughts of the past…how many ships left there just a few centuries ago to maybe collect some of my ancestors and bring to  America…there were a lot of emotions for me…but all to believe that much more in the mission we are doing…and the Slavery Museum is brilliant very powerful, moving and thought provoking…then there was saying good bye to the departing crew…it was like my children leaving, some I have been with for over a year…what a wonderful group and what an amazing sail we had together…we have made history…and I am proud to have share this time with you all… many mahalos…and some I know I will see on the third leg…so before the students came aboard we did go out and hit a few night stops….but one of the mysteries is that a Martini seems to be a rare phenomenon even though “James Bond” drinks them… they don’t seem to know about shaken and not stirred…so we will  be in search  for the elusive martini… and then there was the shopping trip…after filling 3 grocery carts to the brim getting up to the register with the help of a charming clerk name Rachel from Ireland…they rang everything up about 280 items an the register proceeds to run everything backwards an then shuts it self off…after about ten minutes it comes back on but there is no record…so now there are 4 carts and we move them all to the customer service counter to the main computer….well there is no record there either….so the nice people in the store take all the baskets while apologizing all the way and re-ring everything…while I have a sit down and they bring me water…I pay and they give me cab fare for the inconvenience …they call me a cab and wait with me and put everything in the cab for me…now that is what I call service…and the fresh produce here is outstanding…I think we in the states over engineer everything…the Asda store deals right with the farmers and you can really taste the difference…even the candy bars don’t have corn syrup in them and they taste 100% better… I also attended a SGI-UK discussion meeting which really charged my spiritual battery…. and I received a very encouraging note and pin from a lady named Marion. …Thanks to everyone who made our stay so wonderful and to the Lady at the Maritime museum who provide us with cards for the bus and discounts…and too the museum forthe Internet use…you folks rock…

Sunday’s fare consisted of breakie-bull’s-eyes, or eggs on a raft, ham, and slice oranges milk, juice cereal;

Lunch-chicken gumbo, crab and artichoke quiche, salad, juice; dinner-rosemary roasted lamb with assorted veggies and petite potatoes, and mixed salad.

Monday- breakie-german pancakes, fresh strawberries and mangos, juice, milk, cereal, yogurt-lunch Monte cristo sammies, curry bean soup, salad, juice; pork chops, roasted bok choy, basil tortellini

Tuesday-breakie-cheesy eggs, sausage and bacon, homemade sweet biscuits, juice, milk, cereal; lamb calzones, salad, cream of potato leekie soup; dinner-beef stir fry, egg noodles, and tofu stir fry…chocolate chip cookies…
