When I first came here I was very nervous E-mail

When I first came here I was very nervous. I was nervous but anxious at the same time to see what was in store for me. Leaving my mother and slowly going through the security checkpoint my heart began to race. So, as I am walking down ready to approach gate # 8 all of these questions are running through my mind. The main question was I wonder what all my classmates and staff will look like. As I reached Gate # 8 and met all of my new friends I was surprised because everyone looked different than I expected. Meeting Professor Dwayne, and Ms. Tracie and being accepted with open arms made me feel more at ease.  Then I began to think maybe this wouldn't be so bad after all. Then meeting and getting to know my new friends/classmates and finding out that they had the same fears that I did felt like I was not alone. The plane rife was long but interesting. I had a lot of good laughs on the plane. When getting off the plane and reaching England I was so nervous to see what I looked like. At the airport we used the restroom and their toilets are much different than ours. Also, they do not have paper-towels. They have a hand towel that each person pulls down to dry their hands. Being in a different country and hearing other accents than I am used to was amazing. I mean I have only heard the English accent on T.V. and always said one day I am going to go there and to finally be here is like a dream come true. When we went outside it reminded me of Brooklyn, so I still felt at home. Also, the people here are so friendly. I was so excited and said that I do not want this to be the first and last time that I come and visit England.
