So here it is Sunday evening so let me back track a wee bit…we had a wonderful aloha Friday, with shrimp pad Thai, beef and veggie, coconut butternut squash, and Thai salad…the weather has been amazing and spirits have been high…

folks are learning about washing clothes in salt water and wondering why they aren’t drying (salt retains water) the solution fresh water rinse… so with that crisis handled the day continues to be beautiful… moving on to Saturday, which was Gina’s birthday and I made her a special chocolate cake, and Erika wrote a special birthday song…a great time was had by all…and lunch was al fresco with burgers, Cole slaw, cheese, Amistad buns, and juice…so I have started the curtains for the fo‘csle , and they look smashing if I must say so myself … I saw the big dipper …and that brings us to  Sunday, breakfast this morning was German blueberry pancakes, bacon, cereal, juice, milk…and a lovely day…back to finish off the curtains…sighting of an over size buoy, gave us a bit of adventure …so all the bunks with  folks have curtains…the classes have also been wonderful and very informative… students and crew all participating and sharing thoughts…I am enjoying myself, you bet…every hot and sweaty moment… I wouldn’t trade places with anyone on the planet …I am the richest woman on this planet…. anyway dinner was a hit…. bake chicken thighs, corn pudding, sautéed zucchini and carrots with ginger and garlic, tossed salad and pesto bread, ice tea and water…thanks again Don for the ginger…and Ben has been working really hard to keep all the systems up and running…I also finished Carl Hiaasen’s book Nature girl…what a hoot….

Bon appetite
