Good morning there, my dears, I hope you are in good spirits and all that. I must try and type this out quickly for the battery is running low on the laptop and there is a queue forming for it, too. To start off with a usual Mike narrative we need a complaint (sad I know, but you know you love it).
OK, so my stomach has been hurting quite a bit this morning which is bad when the rocking of the ship makes it even worse. But let's hope it goes by today which will be a long one since we (C watch, you should know this by now like people) have a long six-hour watch which I’m hoping will go by quickly for I need to read more of my book (Master and Commander) and write a little in my diary, which I haven’t been lately (naughty I know but you try doing this).
This morning I was thinking how long it would take us to get to Falmouth. Yesterday I heard from several people that it would only take seven to ten days which is something to look forward to. I’m not saying that I want to get off the ship as soon as possible, but I am ready to go back to my life and every person and possession that comes with it however mundane it may be. Saying that I have been (and I’m sure I've said this before) infected with a wanting desire to see the world now, maybe not by the sail of a boat or even a motor boat but then again maybe it will be but one thing is for sure that I will see all the things that I want to see. That desire was reinforced when we got to the Azores and by Odin’s beard I shall return! (Plus many other places, too!) Comments
