To my family and friends that I have neglected for the past few days, I offer my deepest regrets. Life on board has been at a rather hectic pace in the engineering department and I am now just catching my breath.

I want to thank all of you who wished me well before I left. The staff at Between the Bridges Marina were the greatest. To my family and friends I say a fond farewell until my return, you will all be missed. To my wife Myriam, I think of you each night as I view the vast array of stars that cover our little ship traveling through the night. Step outside and share my view!

Our next landfall target will be the Azores even though we have no plans to stop there.

This simply means that we will be closer to the Azores than we are to North America. The next real landfall being England, the English students on board are starting to anticipate our arrival there.

So tomorrow is yet another day of engineering magic on board the Amistad, and I look forward to a full day of challenges. My love to all !!!
