My day yesterday:       

 

0300-0700 morning watch
0700-0815 breakfast and breakfast clean up
0815-0930 break (reading, nap)...

0930-1330(around then) field day- everything gets cleaned from the overheads (ceilings) to the soles (floors)
1330-1800 lunch, some deck work, laundry the rest of the afternoon (salt-water, done by hand), salt-water bucket shower on deck
1820-dinner

1900-2300 night watch

 
Yesterday was definitely a long, hard day.  The field day of cleaning everything was pretty exhausting and all that laundry scrubbing took forever.  We also set the t’gallant for the first time since the wind was light.
We saw a few dolphins in the morning and a few more at night, and what looked like a group of three sperm whales just after dinner.  The night was warm and clear again, which thankfully makes night watch much less of a chore.  Now its back to watch 0700-1300, class at 1400, and then hopefully a few hours of down time before dinner.  At least last night wasn’t so hot down below and I got a few hours of sleep.  More to follow…
