After departing New Haven on June 21st Amistad sailed into Halifax on July 1st, docking at the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic. After a brief stay Amistad departed the dock on July 7th and sailed to Sambro Harbor where she awaited supplies and spare parts. The crew took advantage of the time to go on multiple sails and reinforce safety procedures. Grateful for the warm welcome and hospitality Amistad received from the locals the crew bid farewell on July 14th to set sail for England. This is the first transatlantic crossing for Amistad.
