Today was C-watch’s day off, so I had from 11am to 7pm off. People on my watch decided that this was a great time to take a shower. Some took a fresh water shower, and others took a salt water wash and a fresh water rinse. I was too tired to do either today, but I will definitely try a salt water rinse with my friend Nadia tomorrow. I have never taken one before and I am kind of nervous. A fresh water rinse is when you put on a bathing suit and you throw a bucket over the side of the boat, fill it with salt water, splash it all over yourself, and scrub yourself with Joy dish detergent. I will try using body wash. Today was an exceptionally warm day, and the sea temp was an avg. of 70°F, perfect conditions for a salt water wash. For dinner today we ate lasagna; it was the best lasagna I ever tasted. I could hardly believe it was so good. Dani and Gina are fabulous cooks; it helps the voyage run more smoothly to have good food in your palate.

Everyone keeps coming up to me and telling me that they have my song, “The Sea and My Man” stuck in their heads. It is especially funny when my male crewmembers tell me that. I am currently working on another song, the title of which will be “Don’t Squeegee My Heart”. Everyone look out for that. Soon my songs will be posted on the site for everyone to enjoy.
