Hi there!! Today is the third day of our little Atlantic crossing and I must say that I really am enjoying my self. This morning during my watch I had the pleasure of going into the head rig with Newman to put sail stops on the JT, this was all done in the pitch black fog which didn’t help with my sanity much but it was such fun.

Also we have run into quite ruff waves (by my standards and experiences at least) which is not really fun when you have water coming over the sides and getting all sea water in every nook and cranny, including my mouth! Today has got me thinking about the what the weather would have been for the original Amistad with the captives not having much experience with it would have been a scary time especially for the younger ones among them. But it is something that I can relate to on that part at least.
