Being able to see the stars E-mail

Hi there! Today is the 15th and the second day of our Atlantic crossing to England. Not much has happened up to this point since it is still only 11:22 as I’m typing it, but when you have been up since six it does seem later! So early hours this morning I had the joy of being able to see the stars at night, and it was a sight to be hold!

Before coming onboard that was one of the many things people were telling me that I would see and love and to be honest I didn’t really agree until I saw it with my own eyes. With out the ambient lighting of cities you can just see how amazing it was, plus I seen something that Hannah tells me could have been the spiral of the Milky Way, which is just fantastic if it was.

So right now we are using the engines to keep away from some island that we were sailing a bit close to plus we ran into fog sometime ago (which is another thing ill remember of Sambro harbor). But what I am proud of was me and Newman going into the head rig to put away the JT sail which was so much fun! Yet scary at the same, but it was fun to look back at the Amistad and see how … pretty she looked going through the sea. I can hope that the days and weeks ahead are as eventful.
