The first transatlantic crossing of the Freedom Schooner Amistad is well underway as today the schooner passes Sable Island in light winds and fog.  The Amistad had departed Sambro Harbor, Nova Scotia Saturday, July 14 and had an excellent first night at sea.  The captain reports spirits high as the crew begins to settle into onboard routines and watch rotations.
