Hello my dears I hope today has been good for you all. For me it has been somewhat long winded. Ok so my day started at 6.30 being woken up by Toby for breakfast, then after a bowl of what I think was some kind of cornflakes with nutty bits, I along with the rest of B watch was on at 7 through to one in the afternoon. Nothing grand happened saved for we almost hit the 500 nm barrier to Charleston but never made it, instead C watch got the glory. Speaking of which as of this moment it is 6.40 and we are 480 nautical miles from our DESTINATION!! So today we had a little bit of traffic, one huge tanker ship came very close to us, but although it was at a safe distance you could see the size difference of it and the Amistad. There was also a cruise ship also but that was off on the horizon. In class we had presentations from Joy, Vincent on a book about Africans that were taken to Barbados as slaves. Plus Toby gave a presentation about Charleston and its connection to slavery, as usual they were fantastic presentations. Also today Haley and myself started up a conversation about the new crew that are coming onboard and what Charleston will be like. Hopefully it shall be fantastic for both thoughts. With that my dears I thank you for reading and I wish you all that good stuff. TATA Comments
