So Samuel and I discovered I-Tunes on these computers the other night and we haven't gotten much sleep since. Thank you to whoever put these great jams on here.
The speed of everything has increased on Amistad, our knots as well as the pace of life on the ship. We are averaging around 7-8 knots now, which feels pretty quick in the middle of the ocean.
C watch has gotten bowls and soles down to pre 5 am, which makes the rest of the 3-7 a.m. watch smooth. "If you can't get out of it, get into it."  Last night we had a barrage of flying fish land on deck, I tried to save any that I could.
We had our first catch yesterday, a beautiful green and blue mahi mahi. I was stuck on the helm, so I guess I'll have to give credit to Samuel, who reeled her in.
Anyways I've decided that this blogging thing is tough and that maybe if I wait a couple days in between writings I will have better material.

I agree with Courtney! Don't give up your writing! I look forward to living your adventures thru your eyes. Can't wait to see you in Charleston. Lots of hugs for you and D-A-D. Tell dad that our dad is going to be honored this Sunday with a UDC Military Cross for his WWII experience. Uncle Hugh is driving from Texas to celebrate with us.

this trip sounds ridiculously incredible. When you get back we have to get a crew together and meet down at the old pub for tales of the sea.

No! Keep writing, brother! I'm so proud of you and I can't wait to spend the Summer with you reflecting on your journey. Thanks for taking care of Shane's ashes in such a beautiful way, and of course for taking care of good ol' D-A-D. Can't wait to see you guys in May; I went to a 3-hour meeting of the Amistad Host Committee in Charleston and we've got tons of awesome things planned for your homecoming. Be safe, be smart, soak it up. LOVE YOU!
