At 9:30 EST this morning, Amistad was preparing to leave Mindelo to run downwind to Fogo which is about 150 miles to the SSE. Trade winds have come in strong from the NE at 25-30 mph with gusts to 45. As a result they are setting out with greatly reduced sail and expect to get to Fogo around this time tomorrow.
