Freetown Market visit E-mail

This is the first time I've had my passport stamped twice for the same country since England. The immigration office in this country is as busy as can be, a hustle bustle of adults, babies and seniors waiting, talking, coming and going. I made my plane reservations to depart the country and then went off to the market. Kadie and her daughters were not there, so the haggling was with a fellow my age. I admit, I went back to that stall just to haggle with her and her brood, Kadie's a tough merchant. The Lebanese brothers who operate the market are very generous and kind to me.

Yesterday, Eve and I scrubbed the freezer out and inventoried all the goodies. The first time Barry and I did it in September took over 4 hours, this was a one hour job, start to finish! Just like the fridge. One more go at that before I leave and I'll be accomplished. We're down to the wire now. We sent Gina off today, she looked excited to be on another journey. Next week we get Ben and Alison and then we'll evolve again. Progress and change. Love to all my people, especially my girl. HK
