Substitute Senate Bill No. 1009

Public Act No. 03-20

AN ACT DESIGNATING THE FREEDOM SCHOONER AMISTAD AS THE STATE FLAGSHIP AND TALL SHIP AMBASSADOR.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

Section 1. (NEW) (Effective October 1, 2003) The Freedom Schooner Amistad shall be the official state flagship and tall ship ambassador of the state.

How long does the senate and house of representatives believe that the ship will last as the freedom schooner? Why did they pick a schooner? I believe that schooner is an awesome symbol of the ambassador of the state.

how long will the schooner be at long wharf? through next month at least,
and how does one go about visiting this? will tours be available? Please Advise,
as I would LOVE to see this!!! Thank You. Judi.
