Last night was another wild night of drama, music, drumming, costumes and new friends. After being open til 1400 and an afternoon at the US Embassy, we convened at a lovely facility on the water. The Wesley Singers were an exceptional acapella boys group, performing original and moving pieces with passion and conviction. Freedom and children's needs were the themes of the two songs we enjoyed. It's good to have the Director of the National Museum on my elbow; Josephine knows everything and if there's anything she's not sure of, or maybe when she tires of all my question, she'll pass me off to the Deputy Minister of Education, or Health, or Culture. Some of the masked characters of last night were explained as evil or benign spirits.
This morning is National Clean-up Day, one Saturday a month; everyone is required to spend the morning cleaning one's personal space, on penalty of fine. So, we won't open until after 1200 and maybe later.
Love to my girl and all my people. HK
