You won’t hear me complain of the heat, we call it the Freetown method. We absolutely feel better having the stove off, it makes the main salon livable and we need the shade. Johnny and the new man, Paul, are rerigging the tarps and adding the new ones I bought to use as sail covers and awnings. It’ll look great when they’re done. Because today is Sunday there’s not too much to be done outside of here. Tomorrow will be a better shopping day for anything we need. I have to admit, having a smaller crew is easier on the galley. Drew is working on the focs’l soles and others are off the boat. He’s got Hawaiian music playing- he and Dani must have really enjoyed each other.
Boat sitting is something people do, I have friends who have spent whole seasons doing just that. It’s hard to sit still, but the heat prevents too much foolish waste of energy.
Love to all my people. HK
