A Little R&R E-mail

I think the moisture and the heat is getting to the computers.
They're really slow to respond to touch. Like the women who tote water, walking smooth is a talent all of us will need to achieve. I remember in the Caribbean, everything slows down in the heat. We foolish North Americans still operate as though the climate is temperate and it will cool off later. Moderation is not only an asset in the tropics, it will save our lives. Some of us were offered a day off the boat and I was one who accepted. I went to the hotel, took a bath, called my girl, e-mailed my Dad and took a nap. It had been since Lanzarote that Heather and I had been able to talk, it was much welcomed and enjoyed.
Today's only a half day at the boat, we're all going off to the US Embassy for a fete. All the work still needs to be done, but in record time. Because we found a place to get fresh water, we can wash down the deck. That's a good thing because every footfall brings dirt to grind away the surface. Our ranks are getting thinner, we sent off Haley Cox to Canada this morning, we love and miss you already Hollywood. Take good care and thanks for the invite to Shelburne. I'm sure next year you'll be descended upon by flocks of crewmates.
The galley calls... Love to all my people.HK
