We are making our way through the English channel to Lisbon, taking our time to avoid unfavorable weather. Late September in England has proven to be a bit too cold for me and I am anxious to make it down to warmer ports. However, I know we'll be lingering in England a while longer because there is one offshore practice we're not yet doing. We are not yet separating food, paper, and metal from plastic trash. Have you ever thought of how waste is disposed of on a multi-week offshore voyage? Amistad has enough interesting smells without two-week-old food trash overtaking the decks. Comments
