Tutu and Franklin a Journey Towards Peace was a really intense and touching movie. It was almost similar to my Amistad journey, because there was a group of students from all over put together to address different issues, learn about each other, share personal views on certain issues of slavery and the trade, and settle differences. They all had their differences throughout the entire movie, but in the end they all agreed on one thing that slavery and the trade was wrong. Tutu and Franklin both taught the students about different issues; that went on in a week's time, where as on the Amistad we have four months to address these issues and make them as clear as possible. This movie helped me to understand what was going on in Africa and how things were so harsh for the slaves. One of the places that the students went to that I am looking forward to visiting is the door of no return and the slave house in Senegal. Watching the students go through there brought some emotions up, so I know mentally there will be a great emotion while I am walking through. This will be one of the best experiences to have in life itself. This makes you see things in a different light.
